William says ‘I received the grant at a pivotal point halfway through my Masters programme which enabled the making of a specific work but also allowed my practice to develop into understanding how I can relate my work and process with external archives and institutions. This allowed a responsiveness and expanding of the scope of the work that would have been difficult without the opportunity.’
