Noorain says ‘The Wilhelmina Barns Graham Trust has been an incredible support for emerging artists such as myself. I was able to create an ambitious body of work over the course of three months [of the residency]. For young artists such as myself, grants and residencies this play a huge role in allowing us to create works that are not bound by scale and material.
The ideas and body of work made during my residency at Porthmeor Studios in St Ives Cornwall has continued to grow as I work in my studio in London. I remain extremely grateful to the WBGT for their continued support of emerging artists.’
