University of St Andrews | Barns-Graham Post-Graduate Award 2019
Aren received the Barns-Graham Post-Graduate Award and undertook a placement at the Trust whilst studying for an MLitt in Museum and Gallery Studies at the University of St Andrews.
Aren says ‘My time at WBGT proved to be an invaluable component of my studies while I pursued an MLitt in Museum and Gallery Studies at the University of St Andrews. As an art educator, I found Wilhelmina Barns-Graham’s collection of works to be inspiring and adventure-filled, offering numerous lessons in her craft and her interpretations of the world around her. Getting the opportunity to collaborate with the Trust team in a variety of capacities, and getting to see and care for Barns-Graham’s works first-hand, will always be a treasured experience.’
