An Invaluable Springboard
Anneli says ‘In partnership with the Pier Art Center my residency offered me the possibility to learn about the cultural community of Stromness in addition to a period of concentrated work in the run up to 1st solo show in Edinburgh at SummerHall galleries. The residency was an invaluable springboard for my work both professionally and inspirationally. Most notably, I had the chance to live and work in the home renowned Scottish painter Sylvia Wishart. This close introduction to her work, studio and artistic habitat was a very moving experience and one I truly treasure to this day.’
